Leadership Development

Building effective management skills in emerging leaders and supervisors is one of the most important elements of your talent development program. Front-line supervisors and rising middle managers are often promoted due to excellent performance as individual contributors. However, their supervisory and leadership skills are often underdeveloped or not developed at all. Closing this gap will have an immediate effect on productivity and performance through:

  • Reduced turnover
  • Less conflict
  • Better communication
  • Enhanced team performance
  • Increased employee engagement

TDO's two new programs will deliver these results.

Leadership Development Program (LDP)

This program is designed to assist new leaders in their capacity to lead and influence others. As an entry-level leadership program, the curriculum focuses on the developmental strengths and areas of growth for the individual, and offers them a platform to find their voice as a leader. The program includes 1-on-1 coaching, identifying developmental goals and action plans, and modules covering key skills and concepts for new leaders and supervisors. Modules include: An Orientation to Leadership, Self-Awareness, Communication Styles, Leading with a Purpose, and Problem Solving/Critical Thinking.

Executive Leadership Development Program (ELDP)

This program is designed for the leader who already has some experience, but is looking to build a skill-set for their next rung on the leadership ladder. In this program, individuals will identify current strengths and opportunities for growth, identify developmental goals and action plans, participate in 1-on-1 coaching, and work through the following modules: Self-Awareness, Leading through a Culture of Change, Building a Sustainable Culture, Building Relationships, Mentoring and Coaching.
