Two Staff Members Promoted as President Robert Trachtenberg Retires

Liverpool, NY

On November 1, the Central New York Technology Development Organization (TDO) announced the promotion of Cindy Oehmigen to President of TDO’s NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) and NYSTAR Regional Technology Development Centers. Scott Curtis has been promoted to President of TDO’s TWI Institute and Chief Executive Officer of the overall TDO organization. The past President and CEO, Robert Trachtenberg will retire January 15, 2015.

Cindy has been with TDO since 2005, most recently as the MEP Center Director, leading TDO’s team supporting growth of manufacturers and technology businesses in Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Onondaga and Oswego Counties. Previously, she held management positions with Cooper Crouse-Hinds, Carrier Corporation and Loretto. Cindy holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Management Engineering from the University of Iowa and a Masters in Business Administration from Syracuse University.

Scott joined TDO in 2012 as the Executive Director of the TWI Institute, focused on expanding its global presence and revenues. Previously, Scott was the Plant Manager of Albany International. He also held operations management positions with Mobil/Pactiv and Huhtamaki Consumer Packaging. Scott earned a bachelor’s degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
